As photographers, we often feel like weather forecasters because we’re constantly keeping a watch on the weather as we prep for sessions and weddings. Going into the weekend of Elizabeth and Colton’s engagement session we watched closely as our chances of rain and snow showers went up, up, and up! In efforts to avoid Saturday’s messy weather we made a few quick changes and decided to shoot for Sunday instead. On Saturday we watched as it rained off and on all day before turning to snow and then back to rain.
With hopes of finding some snow still on the ground, we headed towards the North Georgia Mountains on Sunday afternoon to meet Elizabeth and Colton at Vogel State Park in Blairsville, Georgia. Despite the cold, it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and we even found a little bit of snow still on the ground as we made our way around the lake. We had the best time wandering the trail with Elizabeth and Colton and we must say these two were absolute troopers taking on the mushy, melted, snow trails with us!
After this winter engagement session, spring can’t get here soon enough! We cannot wait to celebrate with these two in April at The Lodge at Old Mill in Jasper, Georgia.
