As we reflect back on our 2020 weddings, we never would have imagined we would have tackled a wedding in a snowstorm and a wedding in a hurricane at the same venue within the same year! But in 2020 we sure did!! Right before everything was flipped upside down we photographed a beautiful February wedding day in the middle of a snowstorm that brought us 6+ inches of snow at the Cornelia Community House. Then in October, we photographed another beautiful wedding at the Cornelia Community House as remnants of Hurricane Delta rolled through our area! We’re looking back on John and Nikki’s rainy day wedding tonight and we hope you guys enjoy looking back with us!
As we headed into John and Nikki’s wedding day we had all eyes on the weather forecast, as the remnants of Hurricane Delta were predicted to roll over our area on their wedding day. We made all the backup plans and hoped and prayed for at least a little sunshine. It rained off and on almost all day long but just as the ceremony ended the clouds gave us a break, and the sun even started peaking through the clouds. We ran outside straight from the ceremony to soak up every dry minute we could! Those few minutes were a dream, with fall colors popping against the October fog. Reminding us once again, that rainy days can be magical!
Congratulations Nikki and John!
