I don’t know if you’ve noticed but we’re pretty big fans of the color blue around here! So when the Classic Blue was announced as the Pantone Color of the Year our hearts went pitter-patter!

We constantly find ourselves drawn to shades of blue when planning styled shoots and our eyes always light up when one of our CTP brides says her wedding colors are well any shade of blue! If you look thru our archives, you’ll find that our brides must love blue as much as we do and we aren’t mad about it one bit!! Now we know Classic Blue is the color of the year, but we’re sure we’ll be seeing LOTS of varying shades of blue all throughout the year… after all something blue is a wedding must have!!

Blue is the color of the sea and the sky so its no wonder that it is believed to have a calming effect and let’s just say a calming effect is always good on a wedding day! 😉 Blue is also considered to be representative of stability, loyalty, and dependability which in so many ways is also representative of the friends and family who’ll stand by your side on your special day.

From a visual standpoint, blues pop against our lush green North Georgia landscapes in the spring and summer. A deep dark blue brings richness to any summer or winter scene. While lighter blues are dainty and soften your images making wedding day details and moments look like a fairy tale scene!
