“Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life… love gives us a fairy tale.” – Unknown
For our April bride Megan a fairy tale day meant getting married in the same church her parents were wed in surrounded by an intimate gathering of family and friends. Wearing her mother’s veil, Megan and John were married at Mountain View Baptist Church, located in Gainesville, Georgia on a Saturday morning as the sunlight poured through the stained glass windows of the church. In place of a unity candle, they locked their love and vows in with a heart-shaped love lock. The ceremony was followed by a brunch and a bubble send-off sent the newlyweds on their way. Afterward, we headed to a family property to take Megan and John’s wedding day portraits beneath an old oak tree that had been a part of Megan’s family history for generations. Megan told us stories of family gatherings beneath this very tree with memories of her grandparents adding so much sweetness to these photos for them and us! For portraits, Megan switched to a beautiful flower crown perfect for the setting and this spring bride.
A fairy tale day looks different for every bride and each one is just as unique as each bride is. One of our favorite parts of the job is hearing about our bride’s dreams and visions for their special day and seeing it all come together for them. On ordinary days we are invited in to witness and capture fairytale moments and days and for that, we are truly grateful and honored.
We hope you enjoy looking back on this fairy tale wedding as much as we do!
