Stone Mountain Elopement

Oh friends, we have fallen in love with elopements!

We were so excited when Melissa contacted us about photographing her and Mark’s December elopement at Stone Mountain Park, and maybe a tad bit nervous too! As most of our friends know one of us is rather afraid of heights and then we both kind of, okay really, have a fear of the sky lift. However, our fears aren’t strong enough to keep us away from the job we love!

We started the morning out at the bottom of the mountain trail and snapped a few quick images before heading to the sky lift to catch a ride up! At the sky lift we met up with Mark and Melissa’s parents and waited for our ride up to the top of the mountain. Once we arrived at the top, we headed to a spot on the mountain overlooking the neighborhoods Mark and Melissa grew up in. With Melissa’s brother officiating the ceremony, Mark and Melissa were married! The newly weds were troopers as we took a few more quick pictures at the top of the mountain as the cold wind was blowing before heading back down. After the ceremony, we headed over to the Grist Mill area of the park for a few more pictures of the new Mr. and Mrs.

We had such a fun day with these two and we’re so honored that they chose us to capture their special day!

Congratulations Mark and Melissa!
